The speakers were a project of my graduation at University of Palermo in Industrial Design in july 2009.
Why design speakers?
Well, music is everything for me. I wake up with music, i sleep with music and moreover i have a friend, Alberto, who builds speakers, ampli and others audio accessories. So it was a good opportunity to work with him.
Firstful let's decide the shape!
In the first sketches the speakers weren't so good, they weren't nice looking and not good for audio properties.
After few weeks the shape "landed". It was very minimalistic and flat shape.
The speakers consists just of 2 mdf elements and 2 steel elements that link the mdf panels.
Eachspeaker consists of 4 loudspeakers (2 woofers , 1 midrange, 1 tweeter) and 1 crossover filter.
Moreover every speaker can be customized how the user wants!Paintin..coverin..
The quality of the sounds is amazing, clear but not good for disco music or music where there are deep bass.
