Apollo

Meet Apollo, a 285mm effective length tonearm based on herr schroeders excellent design.

The arm is ebony which was split down the centre, grooved then glued back together. This was to house the teflon coated copper tonearm cable. 6mm. neodymium magnets and 50lb. braided line hold this sparkling vision of polished aluminium and brass together.

A polished black acrylic armboard marries the arm to a well set-up Thorens TD-124 mk2.At present it runs a G1042 cart. It sounds as sensational as it looks.

  • Bravo!
    Fantastic work.
The slice on the arm must be vertically placed in order for the glued surfaces to reinforce
    the arms resonance damping,
    structural rigidity.
I hope you enjoy your arm for years to come!
