Needed (or just wanted?) a new set of electronics to drive (yet to complete) active speakers. So a x-over and multichannel amp was needed. As the x-over is done with a DSP also a multichannel DAC was needed between the DSP and the AMP's.

DSP: MiniDSP MiniSharc
DAC: a dac-preamp kit built around an ESS 9016 DAC
AMP: 6 Hypex UcD 180 + SMPS1200 PS

DSP and DAC in one case and the AMP in it's own case. AMP fitted with 6 modules but can be extended to 8.

Net yet fully completed, still some stuff to do, but in current state functional/useable.

  at the moment i think about buying all this separated...unless you suggest me an all in one chassis?
