The Arbiter

545VA Trafox toroids, 30V secondaries, 42Vdc rails.
+Homebrew 14VAC windings for Dc-prot.

60w single-ended class-A.

220 000uF per amp.

CRC PSU.

PSU in separate chassis (so three cases overall).

Diy aluminium case.

Dc-protection and delay on start.

Still some modification coming up later, mainly for the casing.

This was my first amplifier project. There were quite a learning curve but there's nothing unbeatable with the help of DIY-community.

Coming up: modified ACA and DC-coupled B1 buffer/preamp.

Thanks DIY-community, thanks Mr. Pass for sharing your ideas with us!

  • I LOVE the symmetry and detail in your wiring looms. Your builds (multiple) are a true pleasure to view and an inspiration for me ...

  • Thank you very much, I'm certainly pleased to hear that!

Though I'm not so satisfied myself, all my amps are built mainly on my bedrooms floor with limited tools..or is that just an excuse, dont know :)

  • Hi timealigned,
They are so expensive and time consuming to build that you can buy beautiful factory made amps for that kinda money :)
