Initial the project was about tweaking Philips AG9016. After changing everything except the endstage, this project was born. A lot of attention was spent on the power supply, it is tube stabilized, using PCL82 and 85A2 valves. For the pre-amplifier I used EF86 and the endstage is what is left from the AG9016: the EL95. No electrolytic caps were used and no negative feedback. Hum is not audible at full vollume from a 96dB/W/m speaker.
