Sennheiser HD580 Jubilee Headphone Mod
 
In 1995 for Sennheiser’s 50th anniversary a special limited edition HD 580 Jubilee was produced, which featured thermoplastic carbon fiber body parts, metal grills, and precisely matched drivers.
 
I was lucky enough to get number 0544 of a limited run of only 4000 Jubilees and even today they are in great demand from collectors.
 
I made the hollow covers from mahogany and after many hours of routing with various jigs they became a reality. Initial impressions are that the sound is much closer and more intimate.
