My very first DIY amp!

A friend of mine asked me for a hi-fi home amplifier, to drive his Sony Sigma loudspeakers. After deep search, I found that brazilian DX Blame ST would be the best choice!
Hopefully I could join some group buys, and so the toroidal transformers and PCBs were ordered from professional sources.
I added my feeling to the project in a couple of ways:
- by using TO-3 devices in the output section;
- by redesigning Mr. Giogros Lazaridis' fan controller circuit, to drive two ball-bearing 8 cm computer fans;
- by adapting a circuit from a National application to be the simpliest but effective soft start for the toroids;
- by putting all these things inside an unbelievable case for this project;
- by doing all these things without any need to redraw, to rebuild, to fix or rework!
My special thanks to Mr. Carlos Mergulhão, whose tireless work has allowed this to be started one day!
