35TG poweramplifier

As the larger power amplifiers (based on the TB-3/1000; somewhere else on this website) are seriously large and heavy they are stuck in my audio room.

But for the living room I also wanted some good music. Copying the schematic of the large amplifier I made other monoblocks based on the Eimac 35TG transmitting triode. Small is only a word ... these monoblocks weigh in at 55 kgs each. They deliver 8~9 Watts ... wonderfull Watts.

Again a reddish hot anode (800V +) but this is perfectly normal with this triode. For input/driver tube I used a compactron. This type of tube is very easy to obtain as at the time of their production the transistors took over; hence prices are low.
Of course with this low Watt amplifier your choices with speakers are restrained. But musicality ... no problem !
