I designed and built these amplifiers from scratch using bits and pieces of different schematics. The goal was to have a very open sounding 300B single ended system. I chose the 7193 driver tubes for their looks and the good things others had said about them. I designed the chassis keeping the power supply isolated from the amp and yet still part of the same assembly. Rectification is Solid State and rock solid in performance. A good friend helped me out when I got stuck on something and got me through it. I have made refinements to the design including passive volume control and Mundorf Silver foil / oil coupling capacitors. They will undergo more upgrades as I see fit. These amps are everything I hoped they would be.
