This is an Elektor Medium Power Amplifier, built in 1992. It turned out to be a very reliable unit as it still works fine. The layout is a dual mono design with two power supplies. The electronic circuits share only the enclosure, the mains receptacle and switch. Each channel has its own protection circuit with a relay at the output.

Building this amp was easy and fast because the printed circuit boards came with the part set.
The enclosure is made from a minimum of parts. For the top cover I used clear acrylic.
The faceplate is made of brass, polished and engraved. Chrome plating gives it a very shiny and mirror like surface.
