My first PP amp. I have built several SE before but wanted to try building a PP.
I wanted more wattage to see what the yamies sounded like with some juice, although My SET 300B DRD does well with the yamies.
I love the 300b with the yamies so I wanted the PP to be as close as possible in sound with the 300b, but with more juice. So..I ask a friend to design a circuit for me with my goal in mind. He came up with 6n6p up front and lundahl IT phase splitter, and CCS bias for the KT120 keeping the 120's in class A1.
The result was right on. It takes the yamie to a different level that the DRD 300B couldn't do.
