• The driver is sold by Jaycar and electronics chain throughout Australia. They are quite cheap and are well made.

• pb: Sorry I missed this comment. Thanks I currently making another 6EM7 amp (3rd) on a heavy Acacia chopping board. I like timber. I'll post it here. Not really super retro like Intermezzo but an old world feel.

• Sorry missed the above comment. I have not measured the S/N but purely from a listening point of view it appears dead quiet. This preamp compares very well with my Jean Hiraga MC stage which is more expensive and more complex.

• Mate thanks for the "Nice" comment.I like this MC preamp but when I compared it to a simpler Le Pacific MC stage I made a golden-eared friend said there was very little difference between them. Since then I have received the BHL MC stage. Yet to try it.
